Update from Housing and Urban Development: Addressing Tenant Concerns Regarding Rent and the Temporary Suspension of Evictions for Nonpayment of Rent
Harford County has finalized its . The County must submit these plans to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds. The County’s allocations amounts it will receive are $1,089,837 in CDBG and $492,822 in HOME funds for the FY2021/FFY 2020 program year. Click here to read the Five-Year Consolidated Plan.

The Baltimore Regional Project-Based Voucher Program, which includes Harford County as a partner agency, has made awards of project-based vouchers. The Howard County Housing Commission has been recused from each round of awards because they have been part of a proposal each time.

DRAFT OF THE 2020 FAIR HOUSING ANALYSIS RELEASED FOR PUBLIC COMMENT
Harford County has joined with a group of six local governments, five public housing authorities (PHAs), and the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC) to release for public comment a draft 2020 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice in the Baltimore Region (AI).

This analysis uses data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other sources to identify impediments to housing choice for populations protected under the Fair Housing Act and proposed action steps to be incorporated into jurisdictional Consolidated Plans and PHA plans that begin July 1, 2020.
